I am an automotive engineer who specializes in electrical systems and lighting. I have done professional consulting for large auto/truck manufacturers regarding headlight design and optimizing performance. There are my credentials, now let me explain how I feel about these headlights.Whenever I buy a used car (the only way I ever buy a car), the first thing I do is replace the headlight assembly. I tell myself that I am doing it for safety, because it truly does restore nighttime vision. As the headlights age, you can lose as much as 80% of your nighttime vision, and a new assembly will restore that. Just make sure that you properly aim your new lights! However, on the side of either being vain or adding value to your car (whichever is important you), new headlights make your car look almost new again. It is the simplest, least expensive thing you can do that takes years off of your car (at least in appearance). These particular lights look great and work very well. They seem to be high quality and fit perfectly. I like the dark background around the reflectors. It isn't so noticeable that anyone would even think that they were aftermarket lights. The look quite natural. However, in my opinion, they do look better than the all-chrome lights. I have an 2007 Tundra that has over 250,000 miles on it, and after installing these headlights, I have had multiple people make comments like "I've never really noticed before, but those older Tundras really do look good." or "Man, those Tundras just don't age. I'd like to find me a truck like that."That is how much difference new headlights make! I'd buy them again!
